Muhadjir: Hajj And Umrah Affairs Offices Will Be Formed In Regions

JAMBI - Presidential Special Advisor for Hajj Muhadjir Effendy said the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah would form representative offices in every province including districts and cities throughout Indonesia.

"Hajj has been taken over by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, so now there is an arrangement," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, October 4.

According to Muhadjir, currently the ministry is starting to organize institutional structures, facilitating work and service systems. After the preparation process in the center is complete, it is continued to create a management structure in the region.

"Everything is fine, I went to Jambi to give a public lecture at Muhammadiyah University, and visited BSI," said Muhadjir.

The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Jambi Province, Sudirman, explained that the pattern of hajj departures in 2026 is the same as this year. the government has prepared a budget of Rp. 32.5 billion for assistance for departures and return of pilgrims.

The budget is used for accommodation purposes, starting from leasing vehicles (buses), renting round-trip planes to departure airports at Batam Embarkation.

"The departure of pilgrims from Jambi to Batam requires aircraft rental, including the rental fee for scanning goods (X-rays) for all pilgrims," he said.

The Jambi Provincial Government previously attempted to depart from pilgrims through Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang, but the plan was not implemented, taking into account land lane access as not yet feasible.

"There is a plan to save the aircraft rental budget through the Palembang Embarkation, but the toll road (Jambi-Palembang) has not been completed, the intention must be postponed," he said.
