CIAMIS - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Ciamis Regency, West Java, handles Sindang Sari 1 State Elementary School (SDN) students in Kawali District who experience symptoms of poisoning allegedly after eating the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) menu at their school.

"Currently it is suspected that there was poisoning, we have not confirmed whether this is from MBG or not, but so far there are 10 children from SDN Sindang Sari 1 Kawali who have been taken to the Kawali Health Center," said Head of the Ciamis District Health Office Rizali Sofyan as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 3.

He said the health team had carried out medical treatment for students with sick complaints such as nausea, vomiting, weakness, stomach pain, and shortness of breath.

However, the students who received medical treatment, he said, as many as two people were reported to have been allowed to go home, only eight more students were still undergoing treatment at the Kawali Health Center.

"The condition of eight people, thank God, is currently improving, conditions have been handled, and currently we are still monitoring," he said.

Even though the student's condition has improved, he said, his party is still on standby for fear of other poisoning victims who need medical treatment.

"We really hope that this is the last one there will be no more cases," he said.

He conveyed that the MBG menu presented at the student school was peanut porridge, then saturated or observant, then there was cheese which is currently being tested for laboratory to find out the cause.

"We will check whether what is possible is that the cause must be found," he said.

The second food poisoning incident in Ciamis, has previously occurred in Pamarican District, which has reached 118 people.

The incident in Pamarican, he said, had also been examined by food samples presented in MBG to determine the cause, the results of which were still waiting for the laboratory test process to take about 10 days.

"The results in Pamarican haven't come out yet, maybe around 10 more days," he said.
