Detention Of 2 Police Suspects Of Death Of Brigadier MN Quoted At The NTB BNNP Detention Center

The Mataram District Attorney (Kejari) has entrusted the detention of two police suspects in the case of the death of Brigadier Nurhadi at the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP).

The two suspects are Police Commissioner Yogi and Police Inspector Dua Haris.

"We entrust (the NTB BNNP) with security considerations," said Head of the Mataram District Attorney's Office Gde Made Pasek Swardhyana in Mataram, Friday, confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the suspect's deposit at the NTB BNNP Detention Center had nothing to do with narcotics cases, but it was purely a security reason for the two suspects who were police officers.

"There is no connection with drugs, RJ (restorative justice) files for drug cases, the files do not appear. Only cases of violence," he said.

Made Pasek explained that the transfer of detention had also received a statement from the Class II A Prison in Kuripan, West Lombok Regency.

"It (the transfer of detention) is also a consideration for him to be there (Kuripan Prison). Prisons may also be overinstalled," he said.

The head of Class II A Prison in Kuripan, West Lombok Regency, M. Fadli, who was confirmed by telephone, has not yet responded.

The detention by the public prosecutor is a follow-up to the implementation of phase two or the submission of suspects and evidence from the NTB Police investigators.

The police carried out the final stage of the investigation after the investigating prosecutor stated that the files belonging to the two suspects were complete and fulfilled the criminal elements suspected, namely Article 338 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 354 paragraph (2) and/or Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code and/or Article 221 of the Criminal Code.

Brigadier Nurhadi was found dead in the swimming pool of one of the villas in Gili Trawangan, North Lombok Regency, in mid-April 2025.

From the results of the investigation, it was revealed that Brigadier Nurhadi died unnaturally. There were allegations that the NTB Police Bidpropam personnel died as a result of the persecution.

The police then named Kompol Yogi, Ipda Haris, and Misri as suspects who also knew and were at the scene.

For Misri's status, who is now receiving a suspension of detention from investigators, it is still in the stage of completing the files according to the instructions of the research prosecutor.
