Pressing The Palestine Action Group Continues To Protest Anti-War Gaza, London Police Have Arrested 134 People

JAKARTA - The London Police have so far arrested 134 supporters of the Palestine Action group that often oppose Israel's occupation of Gaza and thousands of Palestinian territories have claimed thousands of lives.

The Independent reported Thursday, October 2, the London Metropolitan Police's confession after 20 people were charged with Article 13 of the UK Terrorism Law with a threat of 6 months in prison. They were threatened with this article for participating in an anti-war Gaza demonstration that is often initiated by the Palestine Action group.

The 20 people were arrested on August 9 and will be tried at the Westminstermen's Court on November 24.

Earlier this week, 66 people were arrested for participating in demonstrations in supporting Palestinian Action activities outside the annual Liverpool ruling Labor Party conference.

Two people were later released, but 64 others were detained on suspicion of terrorism-related offenses.

The Palestinian Group Action activities were banned in the UK after its activists broke into a British air force base in Braiz Norten, Friday, June 20, resulting in damage to two military aircraft.

Attempts to break into it to prevent the British air force from engaging in war crimes by helping send military logistics to Israeli soldiers attacking Gaza.

The ban on group activities is listed in the UK Terrorism Act, which was published in early July 2025.

The British Government's action against Palestine Action has fostered public protests in many parts of the UK. The demonstration to support Palestine Action is located in the area of the British police station and court.

Defend Our Juries, the group that organized the demonstration for Palestinian Action supporters, said more than 1,500 people would participate in demonstrations in London this weekend.

They said this would be "the largest mass action ever against the British Government's ban on Palestine Action activities."
