JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) of the United States (US) JD Vince believes the closure of the government or shutdown will not last as long as has happened before.
"I don't think this closure will last that long," Vance said on Thursday, October 2, quoted by ABC News.
The US federal government officially entered a shutdown period at 12.01 a.m. Wednesday 1 October after the Senate and US President Donald Trump experienced a deadlock in the draft budget spending law.
Trump as a top Republican has blamed the Democratic Party's health care demands for this shutdown.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party insisted that Republicans need to negotiate so that the US budget spending bill runs smoothly in the Senate.
The Trump administration has also warned of the threat of mass layoffs (PHK) from federal government non-essential workers if the shutdown officially takes place.
