Closing The Session Period, Puan Singgung MBG-Conflict Agrarian Urges The Government To Undergo DPR Recommendations

JAKARTA - The chairman of the DPR RI closed the First Session Period of the 2025-2026 Session Year, in a plenary meeting held at the Paleman Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, October 2. On that occasion, Puan mentioned a number of issues that were of special concern to the DPR, ranging from the evaluation of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program to the resolution of agrarian conflicts.

Puan initially conveyed the supervisory function of the DPR which was directed at various problems that arose in the community. These include protection and social security for online transportation workers, handling extraordinary events (KLB) of barbaric disease, mitigation and handling of natural disasters of floods and landslides in a number of areas.

Puan revealed that the DPR also supervised the evaluation of the hajj issue with bailout funds, and the establishment of the Online Judi Task Force.

"Resolution of agrarian conflicts, strengthening the people's economy through Integrated Business Service Centers for MSMEs, scarcity of fuel at private gas stations and rising rice prices, evaluation of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG)," said Puan in her closing speech. session.

"The implementation of economic stimulus package policies to encourage the growth and purchasing power of the people, as well as the placement of state money in commercial banks to strengthen liquidity and the role of banking intermediation," he continued.

Puan said that these various issues had become a discussion of the DPR in various activities of board equipment, including work meetings at related commissions with the Government. Puan then reminded the Government to follow up on the results in work meetings in the DPR.

"The government has an obligation to implement every recommendation from the Working Meeting with the DPR RI," said the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.

During this Trial, the DPR has also appointed the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to be the Working Partner of Commission VIII. In addition, the DPR has given approval, consideration, consultation in the appointment and/or election of public officials and non-public officials.

Such as the Board of Commissioners of the Deposit Insurance Corporation, Chair and Member of the BPH Migas Committee, Supreme Court Justices and Supreme Court ad hoc Judges, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Friends for Indonesia; and Providing citizenship to football athletes and ice hockey athletes.

Puan then expressed her appreciation for the hard work of all members of the DPR RI in carrying out constitutional tasks in realizing the sovereignty of the people. The DPR will enter a recess from October 3 to November 3, 2025.

"It's time for us to enter a recess to greet, listen, absorb the aspirations of the people, and convey to the people the constitutional tasks that have been carried out by the DPR RI, as well as unite the people in the spirit of mutual cooperation to build Indonesia.
