Police Investigate 2 Elementary School Students In West Lombok Poisoning MBG

JAKARTA - The police are investigating the case of a number of elementary school (SD) students in the Narmada area, West Lombok Regency who were poisoned after eating the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program menu.

Head of the Unit (Kanit) of Certain Crimes (Tipidter) of the Mataram Police Satreskrim Ipda Imamul Ahyar confirmed the investigation of the case.

"Yes, we are handling MBG poisoning cases in two schools," he said in Mataram, Wednesday, as reported by Antara.

The two elementary schools, SDN 1 Nyurlembang and SDN 1 Selat. The poisoning incident experienced by a number of students occurred on September 3, 2025. Handling at this stage of investigation is part of the follow-up to the school's report on September 17, 2025.

He said that a total of six students were poisoned. Three from SDN 1 Nyiurlembang and others from SDN 1 Selat.

The victim was reported to have experienced similar symptoms, nausea and stomach pain. At the time of the incident, they were rushed to the local health center.

"Not up to opname," he said.

In a series of investigations, Ahyar said that the Tipidter ranks had visited the two schools. The school, public kitchen managers, and nutritionists from the Mataram Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) have been examined.

"Nationalists check food samples," he said.

From the results of the nutritionist analysis, the food is served according to applicable standards. There is no discovery of expired food ingredients.

Furthermore, Ahyar said that his party had scheduled the examination of victims which would be the final series of the investigation stage.
