JAKARTA - Former member of the Gorontalo DPRD, Wahyudin Moridu, admitted that he would return to being a truck driver after being fired for his actions that went viral on social media.
"I will start everything from scratch again, to become a truck driver again," said Wahyudin Moridu while live on his wife's TikTok, Mega Nusi, quoted by VOI.ID, Wednesday, September 24.
Wahyudin Moridu said he would not get rid of his habit of socializing.
"I will get back to hang out again like yesterday when I was a member of the DPRD," he said again.
Wahyudin Moridu received all the blasphemy and insults that came to him as a result of the controversial statement.
"I have received everything, and I have been fired. I also no longer use any state facilities anymore," he added.
He admitted that his actions were not a good example to be imitated.
"What I admit is the fault of my friends, no one justifies I'm right and it doesn't exist," he explained.
In addition, he also promised to apologize to the people in Gorontalo regarding his actions that went viral on social media.
"If I'm not mistaken, there will be a demonstration in the Provincial DPRD. So, that's when I will be present at the demonstration to apologize," he explained.
"Once again, I will be present at the demonstration which is reportedly due on Monday (22/9/2025), my presence there will be there to apologize," he said again.
Apart from apologizing, Wahyudin Moridu admitted that he would say goodbye to all members of the Gorontalo DPRD.
"I will apologize to all of them (demonstrators) and at the same time I say goodbye to all my staff at the office," he concluded.
