Prabowo's Message Of Peace Gets A Warm Welcome At The United Nations

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received a positive response from world leaders after delivering a speech at the General Debate session of the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in New York, United States, Tuesday, September 23 local time.

As stated by ANTARA, Prabowo was immediately surrounded by a number of world leaders, after delivering speeches to heads of state, heads of government, and delegates from almost all countries in the world.

The King of Jordan Abdullah II seemed to greet Prabowo, as did Brazilian President Luiz In layoffcio Lula da Silva. They were seen congratulating and expressing their appreciation for the strong messages conveyed.

It is known in his speech, Prabowo highlighted several important things. Among them is Indonesia's success in realizing rice self-sufficiency while at the same time conveying hope that the world will unite in peace.

"We have to act now. We have to fight for a multilateral order where peace, prosperity and progress are not the privileges of a handful, but the rights of all," said Prabowo.

"With a strong UN, we can build a world where the weak do not suffer because of their weaknesses, but live with the justice they deserve," he added.

In addition, the President also reiterated Indonesia's position on a two-state solution to the Palestinian conflict.

"We must have an independent Palestine, but we must also recognize and ensure the safety and security of Israel. Only then can we get true peace, peace without hatred, peace without suspicion. The only solution is a two-state solution," said the Head of State.

President Prabowo delivered a speech at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in third place after Brazilian President Luiz In laycio Lula da Silva and United States President Donald Trump.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said his presence was an important momentum for Indonesia to emphasize the active role in the world's highest multilateral forum.
