Women Victims Of Murder In Kebon Jeruk Recently Often Karaoke, Making Husbands Jealous

The death of a woman with the initials S (49) who was allegedly killed by her husband, W (55) in South Kedoya, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, resulted in testimonies from a number of neighbors.

Sumarni, the victim's neighbor, said that W, her husband, had expressed his anxiety several times because he felt his wife had changed her attitude.

Wisman once told me, 'How come now I often think about him (wife). From there I felt he seemed jealous,' Sumarni told reporters in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Tuesday, September 23.

According to Sumarni's testimony, the victim often left the house and gathered with his friends, one of which was to a karaoke place. This behavior is thought to have triggered Wisman's jealousy.

However, he said, there were no signs of a flashy altercation during their stay in the neighborhood for more than a year.

"I've never heard them make a fuss. But when it comes to Wisman, it's been rude to the person," said Sumarni.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebon Jeruk Police, AKP Double, said the victim had a rope wound to his neck when he was found.

"We checked that, we went to the TKP (the crime scene) where the rope was found, the bag rope. We tried to check with the doctor later, the results of the doctor's examination," said Doubles when contacted in Jakarta, Tuesday night.

The victim was first found by his son after work because he was contacted by a friend of his mother who said the mother could not be contacted.

When the victim's child left for work in the morning, his parents were found to be still asleep.

"(He was found) with his son. During the day he came home from work, when he opened the door. We were heading to the road, to the rented house with the perpetrator. When we arrived, his son had not arrived long ago," said Duda.

After launching the action, the alleged perpetrator then turned himself in to the Kembangan Police. However, because the location of the murder was in Kebon Jeruk, the perpetrator was handed over to the Kebon Jeruk Police.

"The perpetrator turned himself in to the Kembangan Police. We just picked him up, because that's the border," said Doubles.

Currently, he continued, the victim's body has been taken to the Police Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of his death.

Regarding the motive for the murder, it is suspected that the perpetrator was hurt because he accused his wife of having an affair.

"Meanwhile, it is suspected that the victim had an affair, but we are still investigating it again, it is true that the information is not. We will cross-check the information with our investigation data," added Duda.
