KPK Asks Honest Officials Filled In LHKPN After The Public Highlights Wahyudin Moridu's Wealth And The Mayor Of Prabumulih

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked honest officials to fill out a state administrator's wealth report (LHKPN). They should not carelessly convey just to abort their obligations.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo in the midst of the public spotlight on the LHKPN Mayor Prabumulih Arlan and Gorontalo Provincial DPRD Member Wahyudin Moridu.

Arlan is known to have his wealth highlighted after the polemic of removing a public junior high school principal in Prabumulih. This incident allegedly started with a warning for his son who was taking the car to school.

Meanwhile, Wahyudin was highlighted because of his statement to 'robber state money' in a viral video on social media. This incident made him fired from the PDI-P (PDIP) and his position in the Gorontalo Provincial DPRD will be replaced by other cadres.

"We also appeal to state officials or other public officials that this is certainly a trigger for all of us so that in reporting the LHKPN must be honest, complete and correct," Budi told reporters, Tuesday, September 23.

Budi said that so far the community has indeed had the flexibility to check the assets of officials. "This LHKPN has opened access to the public," he said.

"So the public can see in full the asset reports or assets of each state administrator. With this transparency, of course, the KPK encourages every state administrator, every public official who reports the LHKPN, please report it correctly, in full, don't cover it up," continued Budi.

Officials, Budi said, must be aware that this wealth report is not just an obligation without meaning. He said, prevention of corruption can also be started by filling in the LHKPN on time and right.

"Once again, this LHKPN report is also one of the instruments in preventing corruption, so the KPK continues to appeal," he said.

"Including, we also appeal to every internal supervisory unit in every institution, either in the inspectorate for example or the inspectorate general, both in the ministry of institutions, in local governments as well as to continue to monitor, supervise related to compliance with reporting LHKPN for every state administrator in their respective institutions".
