Pacitan Resort Police, East Java, continues to hunt WW (38), the alleged perpetrator of the murder of his ex-in-law who also injured four family members of his ex-wife in Temon Village, Arjosari District.

Pacitan Police Chief AKBP Ayub Diponegoro Azhar said the search had been carried out so far with local residents, but officers faced difficulties due to dense and dark forest conditions.

"The community helped. But the search was constrained by a wide forest field and minimal lighting," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 22.

The tragic incident occurred Saturday night (20/9) when WW came to the house of his ex-wife, Miswati. Without talking much, the perpetrator immediately attacked with a sharp weapon.

Tiwi, the perpetrator's ex-in-law, died at the scene due to an incision wound to the neck. The other four victims, namely his ex-wife, brother-in-law, and nephew were seriously injured and treated at dr. Darsono Hospital.

According to Ayub, the temporary suspicion is that the perpetrator's motive is related to household problems.

"The perpetrator was hurt because of the divorce and the plan of his ex-wife to remarry," he said.

The police have confiscated a number of evidences and continue to search the forest area around Temon Village.

Apart from injuring several people, the perpetrator is suspected of carrying Bima (17), the victim's child, who has yet to be found.
