Illegal Mining In Gowa Revealed, Salary Boss Becomes Suspect And Detained By Police

GOWA - Gowa Police Satreskrim detained a suspect in illegal mineral and C mining in Tangkebajeng Village, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi.

"The perpetrator is one person. We have secured it related to the alleged illegal mining in Bajeng District. The evidence was secured by an excavator unit, and a transport truck, all police lines have been installed," said Gowa Police Chief AKBP Muhammad Aldy Sulaiman, quoted by ANTARA, Monday 22 September.

The police chief explained that four witnesses had been examined in this case.

Regarding the addition of suspects, he said, so far there have been suspects who have been named and have been processed through the investigation report.

"We have made one suspect with the initials IM, the capacity as the manager, has been detained. Regarding how long it will take and so on (the new suspect), the results of the examination will be, because we have just secured it," he explained.

Kasat Reskrim Gowa Police AKP Bachtiar added that the disclosure and arrest of the perpetrator followed up on reports and reports from the media and social media information so that action was carried out.

All evidence of alleged criminal acts such as transport trucks and heavy equipment has been confiscated. Furthermore, the case file was immediately processed and transferred to the Public Prosecutor at the Gowa District Prosecutor's Office for trial in court

Regarding the disclosure of the illegal mining case in Bajeng, one person was named a suspect with the initials IM. This is according to the facts collected from four witnesses. However, it does not rule out the possibility of other suspects being named.

The case in the illegal mine in the Bajeng area has gone up to investigation. Meanwhile, illegal mines in Bontonompo District are still in the process of investigating whether the location is legal or illegal.

"The suspect in the illegal mine management in Bajeng District has the initials IM. The article we apply is Article 158 of the Law on Minerba with the threat of a sentence of 5 years in prison and / or a fine of Rp. 100 billion," he said.
