West Java PPP Round Support Agus Suparmanto Becomes General Chair 2025'30

The West Java PPP DPW revealed that all party ranks to the DPC level in West Java unanimously decided to support former Trade Minister Agus Suparmanto as party chairman for the 2025-2030 period.

Acting Chairman of the West Java PPP DPW, Pepep Saepul Hidayat, revealed this was confirmed in the West Java PPP Regional Working Conference (Muskerwil) in Bandung, Sunday, which was held specifically for preparation ahead of the PPP Congress on 27-29 September 2025 in Jakarta.

"We take what is an important note recommended by the West Java PPP DPW, starting from the evaluation of leadership, evaluation of AD/ART, and finally responding to the figure we will fight for to become the leader of the party in the future, namely Mr. Agus Suparmanto," Pepep said in a teleway with ANTARA quoted Monday, September 22.

The eviction of Agus Suparmanto by the West Java PPP DPW, said Pepep, has been agreed upon by all 27 party DPCs in West Java, because the name has become a recommendation for the leaders of the sharia assembly and scholars within the party.

In addition, the strength of the network is Agus' background as an entrepreneur, as well as experience in organization and politics.

"The consideration (a recommendation appears) is because Agus Suparmanto has communicated very intensively with the leaders of the sharia assembly and scholars. So when his profile is submitted, he is a figure who is believed to be able to be a solution for the independence and progress of the party in the future. Including from the network, from his networking as an entrepreneur, his experience is also in organization and politics," he said.

In fact, continued Pepep, apart from West Java, support for Agus also came from other provinces, including East Java, Banten and several areas in Kalimantan.

Although Agus' investigation has received quite a lot of support, added Pepep, the final decision will come at the congress which is the party's highest forum.

Meanwhile, with support from West Java, and previously coming from East Java and Banten, Agus Suparmanto is targeting to bring the party bearing the Kaaba symbol to qualify for Senayan in the upcoming 2029 election.

"I am happy and grateful for the support and trust so that this brings new hope for PPP in the future with the target of entering Senayan," said Agus Suparmanto at the West Java PPP Muskerwil location.
