Arrested By Police, Grandpa Mesum Involved In Obscene Action 2 Boy In Bogor Claims To Want To Test 'Engine'

Bogor Police arrested two grandfathers with the initials WS (65) and MR (68) who were suspected of committing a criminal act of molestation against two minors in the Ciampea area, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor Police, AKP Teguh Kumara, said the two perpetrators were detained at their respective homes on Saturday. The disclosure of this case began with the report of the victim's parents on August 11, 2025.

"There are two police reports with different victims and each perpetrator is also different. This report is the basis for us to carry out investigations to arrests," Teguh said during a press conference at the Bogor Police Headquarters, Cibinong, Antara, Sunday, September 21.

The incident occurred in July 2025 at around 10:00 WIB. Two children with the initials AQ (8) and AZ (10) were playing in the garden near his house. They met WS who was gardening, then called and given the lure of Rp5,000.

After receiving the money, the two children were taken to a hut in the garden area. "That's where the victim was directed by the suspects to commit obscene acts, even the victim's body was also grabbed by the perpetrator. The act was carried out simultaneously," said Teguh.

The victim AQ then told the incident to his aunt, who immediately conveyed it to her parents. The victim's parents then made a report to the Bogor Police.

"We have received the official report on August 11, and since then our investigation process has been carried out," said Teguh.

On August 12, the Satreskrim PPA Unit together with the Bogor Regency Women and Children Empowerment Service accompanied the victim to conduct a post-mortem at the Cibinong Hospital. The investigation process also involved examining seven witnesses and psychological assistance to the victim.

The psychological examination was carried out on August 27. The results of the visum et repertum and the psikiatrum came out on September 17, and became one of our basis for increasing the status of the case," explained Teguh.

After holding the case on September 18, investigators named WS and MR as suspects. Both were arrested on September 20 after previously going through mediation by the sub-district apparatus while the investigation was still ongoing.

The police are now also investigating the possibility of other victims. "We will conduct additional examinations of the family and the environment around the victim to determine whether there are other children who are victims," said Teguh.

From the initial information, one of the suspects admitted that his motivation was to test his physical condition.

The person concerned said he wanted to know whether his genitals could still function or not. That's what he conveyed to investigators, "said Teguh.

Meanwhile, the Bogor Regency Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) has also provided intensive assistance to victims since the case was reported.

The Head of Fulfillment of the Rights and Special Protection for Children DP3AP2KB, Irna Yulistina, said that the two children were severely traumatized.

"The psychological assessment results show that the victim is experiencing acute stress, is traumatized when passing through the scene, and is afraid to meet men," he said.

Irna emphasized that psychological assistance will continue until the child's condition recovers.

"Each child has a different mental endurance. We will continue to accompany them until they return to normal," he added.
