Police Provide Psychological Assistance-Medis Wife Burned By Husband In Cakung

East Jakarta Metro Police provides psychological and medical assistance to wives who are victims of the burning of their husbands in Cakung, East Jakarta.

The Head of Women and Children Protection (PPA) of the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim, AKP Sri Yatmini emphasized that this assistance was carried out considering that the case of a husband burning his wife was a very serious household case and could not be tolerated.

"We have also accompanied the victim medically and psychologically. We will carry out complete and transparent law enforcement," Sri told reporters, Sunday, September 21.

Currently, the victim with the initials S (33) has received a post-mortem examination and is in the process of comprehensive health recovery.

"The East Jakarta Metro Police PPA Unit has also examined a number of witnesses, conducted a post-mortem on the victim, and ensured that the victim received protection and recovery services as a whole," said Sri.

Meanwhile, the motive for the man with the initials MA (29) who burned his house on Jalan Borobudur, Kavling Tanah Merah, Cakung, East Jakarta, was because he was jealous of his wife.

"Yes, he set fire to his house because he was jealous," said Cakung Police Chief Kompol Widodo Saputro, Saturday, September 20.

The burning of the house was triggered by the perpetrator's jealousy towards his wife which caused the perpetrator to fight with his wife.

"Yes, the statement while the perpetrator is jealous continues to be noisy," he said.

The perpetrator was arrested in East Cakung on Friday, September 19 evening. The police also secured a number of evidences, namely the victim's clothes, matches, tiners, and burning mattresses.
