Minister Of Public Works Prepares IDR 8 Billion For Repair Of 15 Bali Flood Points

BANDUNG - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said his ministry budgeted IDR 8 billion for repairs on national roads affected by large floods in Bali on Wednesday (10/9).

After monitoring directly in Badung, Saturday, Minister Dody said he received data that 15 points suffered infrastructure damage ranging from only being affected by floods, damage to roads or bridges, to landslides.

"We have budgeted around Rp. 8 billion for the handling of these 15 points, various kinds of damage, on average damaged, we also do cleaning," he said.

When asked about the Ministry of Public Works providing funds for road infrastructure reaching Rp1.5 trillion for Bali, Minister Dody said the money would not be taken for flood management purposes.

"Not (transferred), the scheme is emergency response funds, not reducing what we have budgeted for Bali," he said.

The 15 points that need self-restriction are spread across Denpasar City, Badung Regency, Gianyar, Klungkung and Tabanan, with the distribution of five points damaged by infrastructure, seven landslide points, and five flood points. Currently, the unfinished location is the damage to the bridge at Muntur Bridge, Gianyar, km 6+400.

Dody said that the damage caused by the collapsed canal and the bridge on the right and left sides was swept away by the current, but after cleaning up the debris, at least the traffic was able to run there.

"Everything has been done except for the Muntur Bridge, Gianyar, there are 15 points affected by yesterday's flood disaster, we have almost finished everything except for the bridge, there is still a slight process, hopefully within two weeks it can be completed in total," said Dody Hanggodo.

The other 14 points summarized by the Ministry of Public Works are floods at the Dewa Ruci Intersection Underpass in Badung Regency, collapsed roads on Jalan Kargo KM 4+800 and 5+100 in Denpasar City, flooded Jalan Mengwitani KM 11+550 in Denpasar, landslides on Jalan A Yani KM 16+825 in Tabanan Regency.

Furthermore, landslides in Banjar Bunut Puntas KM 30+300 in Tabanan Regency, landslides in Siban-BTS KM 32+800 in Klungkung Regency, landslides in Kota Negara-Pekutuan KM 78+400 in Jembrana Regency, landslides on Jalan Sudirman-Gajahmada KM 90+950 in Jembrana Regency.

Then the Cekik-BTS landslide of Kota Negara KM 101+350 in Jembrana Regency, Pelakuan-Antosari culvert collapsed KM 41+600 in Tabanan Regency, drainage and pavement collapsed in Kusamba Angentelu KM 54+300 in Klungkung Regency, damage to the Kusamba-Angentelu DPT KM 54+100 in Klungkung Regency, flooding on the A Yani-Udayana Road section in Jembara Regency, and damage to the DPT Jalan Mengwitani-BTS KM 15+300 in Tabanan Regency.
