Pangdam XII/Tanjungpura Check State Boundaries In Sintang

The Commander of the XII/Tanjungpura Regional Military Command (Pangdam), Major General Jamallulael, handed over basic food assistance to residents of the West Kalimantan-Malaysia border in Sintang Regency (ANTARA/HO-Pendam XII/Tpr.

PONTIANAK - Commander of the XII/Tanjungpura Military Regional Command, Major General Jamallulael, directly inspected the state boundary between Indonesia and Malaysia in Sungai Kelik Village, Ketungau Hulu District, Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan.

"This direct inspection in the field is important to ensure that the state boundary conditions remain in accordance with the provisions and increase awareness of potential vulnerabilities in border areas," said TNI Major General Jamallulael in Sintang, Saturday.

During the visit, the Military Commander was accompanied by the main officials of Kodam XII/Tpr, Danrem 121/Abw, as well as the Indonesian Pamtas Task Force 'Malaysia Yonkav 3/AC. The review was carried out to ensure the condition of the border stakes is maintained and the situation is in a safe condition.

In addition to checking the boundary, Pangdam XII/Tpr also gave a direct touch to the community by holding social services in Nanga Bayan Village, Ketungau Hulu. This activity was carried out in commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Army (TNI).

The social service includes distributing basic food packages, providing school supplies for students of SMPN 4 Nanga Bayan, as well as free health services for residents.

"This social service is a form of TNI's concern in helping the difficulties of the people at the border, as well as strengthening the closeness between the TNI and the people," said Jamallulael.

Through these reviews and social services, the Pangdam emphasized that the presence of the TNI at the border not only safeguards the country's sovereignty, but also supports the welfare of the people in Indonesia's leading regions.
