Parking On The Streets, Mining Truck Protests Make Legok-Parung Traffic Jammed For Hours

TANGERANG - The protest action of the mining truck driver regarding the problem of operating hours had caused traffic paralysis on Jalan Legok, Tangerang Regency - Parung Panjang, Bogor Regency.

During the action, truck drivers parked their vehicles on the border between Tangerang Regency and Bogor Regency for hours, as a form of protest against the policy of limiting operating hours.

Based on observations at the location, several drivers deliberately parked in a transverse position in the middle of the road. As a result, the traffic flow did not move for more than three hours which resulted in queues of up to two kilometers.

"These drivers oppose the policy of limiting operating hours that have been implemented by the Tangerang Regency Government for a long time," said Udin (45), a resident of Cirrab Village, Legok to ANTARA, Thursday, September 18.

The protest by the mining truck drivers took place from 18.15 to 20.45 WIB.

This road blockade caused local residents to be stuck in traffic for hours.

Residents who were restless then asked the drivers to stop their actions. The drivers then put order to the position of their truck which was previously parked in the middle of the road.
