Police Arrested Curian Motorcycle Executors And Collectors In Sunter Jakut Area

The Tanah Abang Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a motorcycle thief with the initials EK (38) and S (49) stolen motorbikes in the Sunter Muara area, North Jakarta.

Tanah Abang Metro Police Chief, Kompol Haris Akhmad Basuki said the arrest of the perpetrator was carried out after the police received reports of victims and then development was carried out.

"The perpetrator with the initials EK took a black resident's Suzuki Skywave motorbike parked in front of the victim's house," said Kompol Haris when confirmed, Thursday, September 18, 2025.

At the time of the incident, the victim's motorbike, which was parked in an engine, was heated. The perpetrator, who saw the opportunity, immediately took away the victim's motorbike.

"The perpetrator was arrested along with evidence. Then he was taken to the Tanah Abang Police for further processing," he said.

The perpetrator EK was then developed until the police again arrested the stolen motorbike owner with the initials S. S. who was arrested for buying a stolen motorbike from suspect EK.

"The opsnal team immediately moved to the estuary sunter and managed to catch S," he said.

For his actions, suspect EK was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft by weight with a penalty of up to 7 years in prison.

Meanwhile, suspect S was charged with Article 480 of the Criminal Code regarding detention with a maximum threat of 4 years in prison.

"This case is still in the process of further investigation. We urge the public to always be vigilant and report immediately if they find suspicious activities in their environment," he said.
