MBG Program Jangkau 225,055 Students In Lebak, Support Asupan Nutrition And Learning

A total of 225,055 students in Lebak Regency, Banten receive the benefits of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) so that they can meet children's nutritional intake and are motivated to take part in the teaching and learning process at school.

Secretary of the Lebak District Education Office, Maman Suryaman, said that the MBG program has now been run in a number of schools from several sub-districts through the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG).

Based on data from the local Education Office, the number of beneficiaries of the MBG Program was recorded at 225,055 people consisting of 33,245 PAUD/TK students, 142,578 Elementary School (SD) students and 50,232 Junior High School (SMP) students.

"We are targeting that this year MBG can be run in all schools spread across 28 sub-districts so that children get nutritional intake," he said.

According to him, the benefits of MBG are considered extraordinary, in addition to being able to increase cognitive or student intelligence as well as motivation and enthusiasm to participate in the teaching and learning process in schools quite high.

Even MBG can control poverty, because students get nutritious intake food.

"We ask that the supervision of the MBG program be more stringent and involve nutritionists from the National Nutrition Agency and nutritionists in all SPPG kitchens, before being distributed to students so that they are guaranteed to be hygienic so as not to cause poisoning," he explained.

Azzahra Viner Liana Sari, a grade V student at SDN 01 Kadu Agung Timur, Cibadak District, Lebak Regency, said she was happy and happy to get the MBG program every day eating rice, various vegetables, fish and fruits with a variety of flavors that were quite delicious and savory.

The distribution of the MBG program was distributed at 09.00 WIB and all students ate together in the classroom.

"We are grateful for the MBG program, so that friends get food that contains nutrition and protein for free," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of the SPPG Kitchen for the Hamim Center Founder Foundation (HCF) Cibadak, Lebak Regency, H Amin, said that his party had been going on for the past month implementing the MBG program in 15 schools with 3,721 beneficiaries consisting of 4 PAUD, 6 SD, 4 SLTP, and 1 SMA.

So far, the quality and quality of food is guaranteed, so that there are no problems or complaints from teachers or students.

"We serve the MBG program, which is very hygienic in involving nutrition and nutritionists as well as quality equipment, as well as using stainless plates that do not cause carat and are produced domestically," he said.
