Lawyers For Victims Of Bank Kacab Banks Chosen Randomly By Suspects

JAKARTA - The attorney for the Head of the Sub-Branch (KCP) of the bank in Central Jakarta, the late MIP (37), Boyamin Saiman, said that his client was not randomly selected by the suspect.

According to Boyamin, suspect C alias Ken, one of the masterminds of the kidnapping that led to the death of MIP, had met the victim before the kidnapping was executed on August 20, 2025.

In fact, said Boyamin, the victim gave his personal name card to suspect C regarding the business run by the victim.

"The deceased has already visited the person concerned to provide a business card. If it's 'random' (random) it's not like that to offer a business for accounts and all kinds of things," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 17.

He revealed that there had been a previous meeting with C.

"We have found it. That's why the name card was saved. It wasn't suddenly that the name card fell from the sky, it wasn't like that," he said.

Although it contradicts the facts of the investigation by the Police, Boyamin does not want to clash with investigators.

"So, this is not 'random'. We can't match it. But we don't want to clash with investigators. We will discuss it," said Boyamin.

Boyamin made this statement following his objection to the 15 suspects from civil circles who were only charged with Article 328 of the Criminal Code regarding the crime of kidnapping.

Then article 333 of the Criminal Code concerning the crime of confiscation of other people's independence against the law which can result in serious injury or death, with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.

According to him, many analyzes lead to premeditated murder because at the end of this case the victim was dumped in a taped state.

"Yes. that means it was killed by throwing it in a taped state," he said.

Boyamin said that if the suspects did not intend to kill, the victim would not be dumped in the condition of the taped face.

"If the intention is not to kill, duct tape should be opened. So that the element of the murder cannot be reduced in the slightest. That this is murder," he said.

In addition, according to the killings, it was revealed that the suspects carried out a series of actions, ranging from kidnapping, threatening and hitting the victim, then the act of taking the victim's life could be an option for the suspects to hide the cover.

"And because this is an organized crime, then the murder is premeditated. Because the police have also made option B, namely that after being kidnapped, threatened, beaten, then if they don't follow, they will still be eliminated from revealing their cover," he said.

Therefore, his party will officially write to Polda Metro Jaya so that the suspects are charged with premeditated murder.

"So, I will still ask, whether this is a discussion, later officially also send an official letter, asking for Article 340 (KUHP) to be applied, namely premeditated murder. Because the series already exists," he said.

Previously, the Police revealed that the victim of the kidnapping who died, the Head of the Sub-Branch (KCP) of a bank in Central Jakarta with the initials MIP (37) was a random target of the suspect's gang.

According to the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Wira Satya Triputra, initially the suspect DH was a bank official like KCP who could be invited to play dirty to move the flow of money from an abandoned account (dormant) to a holding account, but reached a dead end.

"And his friend only gave a business card so that from there a follow-up was carried out," said Wira in response to the press at Polda Metro Jaya, Tuesday (16/9).

Head of the Sub-Directorate of Crime and Violence (Kasubdit Jatantas) of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Abdul Rahim explained, before the kidnapping took place, the perpetrator's brain with the initials K alias C had invited DH to look for the head of the bank branch who wanted to cooperate.

However, on their way, after a long time, for more than 1 month, they did not manage to get the head of the bank branch who wanted to be invited to cooperate.

From there, K then submitted the data he had in the field, in the form of a name card belonging to MIP. The data was then sent to DH and used to trace the whereabouts of the victim.

"When the DH agreed to take option one action, namely kidnapping the victim of the branch head, K gave, this is a business card from one of the branch heads," he said.

For this reason, the name card was handed over to DH. "Sent to DH, then DH conducts a search," he said.

MIP was found dead in a rice field area in Serang Baru, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Thursday (21/8) with facial conditions, feet and hands wrapped in black duct tape. Previously, Ilham was kidnapped in the parking lot of a shopping center in Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta on Wednesday (20/8).
