Dayah Leader In North Aceh Arrested On Suspicion Of 16-year-old Rudapaksa Santriwati

The North Aceh Police Satreskrim arrested one of the leaders (pesantren) in the local district on suspicion of coercion or obscenity against 16-year-old female students.

"Based on the report we received, the perpetrator is suspected of assaulting the victim at his house in the power complex," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Aceh Police, AKP Dr Boestani, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 17.

AKP Boestani said that this case was initially reported by the victim's brother on September 6, 2025, after an intensive investigation and examination was carried out, the alleged perpetrator was finally named a suspect.

He explained that based on the results of the examination, the suspect's actions were carried out on August 19 and 20, 2025.

Where, the victim was asked to meet the perpetrator in the early hours of the morning at his house under the pretext of giving punishment for accusing the victim of making a video call with a man.

"However, the perpetrator forced the victim to commit obscene acts. Not only that, the perpetrator also continued his actions in the bedroom," he said.

After venting his lust, continued the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, the perpetrator then threatened the victim not to tell anyone about the incident. At the time of the incident, the suspect was alone in his house so that he was free to carry out the action.

He added that the incident was finally revealed by the victim when all students were allowed to return to their respective homes on August 28, 2025.

"To his family, the victim finally dared to tell the incident, until the family reported this case to the North Aceh Police," he said.

Now, the alleged perpetrator has been detained at the North Aceh Police Detention Center. Investigators are still conducting intensive examinations of suspects, victims, and a number of witnesses to strengthen legal evidence.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with criminal acts of rape and sexual harassment against children, as referred to in Article 50 in conjunction with Article 47 of Aceh Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayat Law.

"The threat of punishment waiting for the perpetrator is not light, namely uqubat caning up to 200 times, or imprisonment for a maximum of 200 months (16 years and 8 months)," said AKP Dr Boestani.
