Mystery Of Human Skeletons In Aren Trees In Serdang Bedagai, Police Wait For DNA Tests

Serdang Bedagai Police are still waiting for DNA test results to confirm the identity of the human skeleton found in the ISN tree in Hamlet I, Pematang Ganjang Village, Sei Rampah District, North Sumatra.

"We are still waiting for the results of DNA tests for the alleged identity of the victims, we cannot speculate," said Head of the Serdang Bedagai Police Criminal Investigation Unit Iptu B. Situngkir in Sei Rampah, Antara, Tuesday, September 16.

The police have examined eight witnesses, including local residents and the head of the hamlet. The news that the victim is a local resident who has been missing since 2023 still needs to be investigated.

Serdang Bedagai Police also asked for help from the Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) team of the North Sumatra Police to re-examine the crime scene (TKP). The examination was led directly by Kompol Rafles Tampubolon.

"From the crime scene, the ISN tree has also been brought as evidence," he said.

Previously, residents of Hamlet I, Pematang Ganjang Village, were shocked by the discovery of a human skeleton inside an ISN tree. The skeleton was first discovered by Rian (17), a local resident, along with two of his colleagues while harvesting palm fruit.

Rian admitted that he saw the bones inside a fallen and dead palm tree. He then ventured to open the tree trunk and found that the human skeleton was still complete in it. The findings suddenly became a spectacle for residents.

The Firdaus Police Team together with the Serdang Bedagai Police Inafis team went to the location and evacuated the human skeleton. The police also found a number of items near the skeleton, including gas lighters, black trousers, blue T-shirts, iron bracelets, and the Nokia brand's cell phone.
