The Minister Of Social Affairs EMPHASIZED That ASN And State Officials Have No Right To Be Buried By Social Assistance

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) emphasized that State Civil Apparatus (ASN), TNI, Polri, state officials, as well as BUMN and BUMD employees and their families are not entitled to receive social assistance (bansos).

Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf said that the search of data on social assistance beneficiaries will continue to be carried out to ensure that assistance is really received by the poor and vulnerable.

"If it is true that they have been getting social assistance so far, of course they will not get social assistance anymore," said the Minister of Social Affairs, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 15.

In addition to the group, he continued, beneficiaries who are indicated to have committed deviant acts such as misuse of assistance for online gambling transactions will also be removed from the list of recipients, although the Ministry of Social Affairs is currently providing opportunities for account owners who are indicated to deviate from verifying.

Meanwhile, he said, for Beneficiary Families (KPM) who still meet the requirements, but have not been able to receive assistance due to technical problems, such as not having an account, the Ministry of Social Affairs has prepared a collective account opening scheme (burekol).

"In the second quarter yesterday there was an exclusion error, they should have received but they don't have an account yet. Therefore, in the third quarter (July August) social assistance will be distributed simultaneously," he said.

He emphasized that the basis for determining the recipient of social assistance refers to the Decree of the Minister of Social Affairs Number 79 of 2025 and the Regulation of the Minister of Social Affairs (Permensos) Number 3 of 2025 concerning National Economic Sole Social Data.

The data updating can be done through the formal channels of the Ministry of Social Affairs and local governments, as well as participatory channels by involving the community.

"In this case, we also continue to train social service operators to the village level so that the verification process is more accurate," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

The Ministry of Social Affairs noted that until September 15, 2025, the distribution of basic food assistance had reached 13.6 million Beneficiary Families (KPM) or 75.89 percent. Meanwhile, the Family Hope Program (PKH) social assistance has been distributed to 7.4 million KPM with an achievement of 74.43 percent.

From this distribution, all the value is more than Rp. 8.2 trillion for basic necessities and Rp. 5.5 trillion for PKH, respectively.

In addition, there are already 2,164,852 KPM Burekol for basic food assistance and 1,736,558 of them have received distribution. Then for the PKH social assistance, there are still 225,243 KPM out of a total of 1,945,399 KPM Burekol.
