Police Arrest Neighbors Of Victims In The Murder Case Of Brothers And Sisters On The West Coast

The police finally managed to uncover the sadistic murder case of a brother and sister in West Coast Regency, Lampung. The perpetrator is known to be a 19-year-old student who is also the victim's neighbor.

This case stems from the discovery of the earrings belonging to one of the victims in a hut about 50 meters from the scene. The findings serve as an important clue for the police to return to targeting ES, a young man who had previously been arrested but released due to lack of evidence.

After four months of investigation, the police arrested ES at his home without a fight on Friday, September 12. He was immediately taken to the West Coast Police Headquarters for an intensive examination. As of Sunday, September 14, ES status was still a witness.

In investigating this case, the Lampung Regional Police and the West Coast Police sent a number of evidences to the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) of the National Police Headquarters. The evidence includes a pair of victim's earrings, blood samples, machetes, and victim's clothes. The police also involved forensic doctors, psychologists, and a number of experts to strengthen the investigation.

The victim's family welcomed the arrest of ES. However, the victim's uncle, Agus Ricardo, admitted that he had not received an official notification regarding the determination of the legal status of the alleged perpetrator.

"If proven to be the perpetrator, we hope to be punished severely. This murder is very heinous and sadistic," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Batu Raja Village, Edwarlin, ensured that the situation in the environment where ES lived remained safe and conducive after the arrest.

He said the residents were grateful for the performance of the police. According to Edwarlin, ES is known as a closed person and rarely gets along, but often helps his parents work in the garden.

This murder case shocked the public. On May 14, 2025, two brothers, AT (8) and KK (4.5), were found in a pathetic condition in the plantation area about 300 meters from their home in Baturaja Village, North Coast District.

The two victims who initially said goodbye to looking for durian were found covered in blood with their faces and missing head and body intact.
