Politics In India Vs Pakistan's 2025 Kriket Asia Cup, Players Reject Hand Jabat

JAKARTA - The fierce match of the 2025 Asian Cup between India vs Pakistan was politically colored. The Indian cricket national team decided to shake hands with the Pakistan squad in the match which was held on Sunday.

Quoting AFP, Monday 15 September, the captain of the Indian national team, Suryakumar Yadav, denied his team not to shake hands with Pakistani players based on the government's decision and their country's cricket council.

In that match, India's cricket national team managed to beat Pakistan. India beat Pakistan by a difference of seven wickets in the Asian Cup Group A match in Dubai which ended fiercely.

Pakistan, as a form of protest over India's behavior, refused to attend the post-match ceremony won by India.

This is the inaugural cricket match since India-Pakistan clashed on the border attacking each other since May 2025.

India-Pakistan military clashes on the territorial border came after militants in Palaligam, India's cap, killed 26 people in April 2025. In the bloody incident, India blamed Pakistan.
