JAKARTA - Arab and Islamic state officials on Sunday (14/9) urged firm action against Israel following the Zionist group's airstrike against Doha, which Arab and Islamic state officials have called acts of cutting, treason, and crime.
In a ministerial meeting in Doha, Qatar, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit called the attack a "sprinkling, betrayal, and ignorance."
He added that Israel was getting bolder because of the embarrassing spread and silence of the international community.
Aboul Gheit called on Arab and Islamic countries to unite to stop what he called Israel's "criminal war engine" and end the ongoing "short war".
Secretary General of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OKI) Hissein Brahim Taha stated "full solidarity" to Qatar for what he called "Israel's criminal offense," and stressed that the international community should take firm action against Tel Aviv.
Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani also criticized the attack as a form of "state terrorism" and attacks on the basic principles of mediation.

He called the attack a blatant violation of international law and diplomatic norms, and stressed that Doha would continue mediation efforts with Egypt and the United States.
Arab and Islamic foreign ministers started a closed meeting in Doha on Sunday in preparation for the emergency summit on Monday (15/9), which will bring together the heads of state.
The meeting is also expected to discuss the old proposal for the formation of a joint Arab military force, an initiative Egypt first proposed nearly a decade ago.
The meeting came after Israeli airstrikes, Tuesday (9/9), hit a housing complex in Doha that killed five Hamas members as they discussed the United States' proposal to end the war in Gaza, where nearly 65,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 2023.
