He described seven important cultural characters for graduates: critical and reflective thinking, adaptive to technology, rooted in local wisdom values, collaborative and inclusive, ecological and social awareness, national identity in the midst of the global world, and creative and cultural-based innovative.
To encourage global culture, Menbud Fadli encourages the use of digital technology: ranging from digitization of cultural heritage, development of creative products, utilization of social media, use of augmented reality and virtual reality, to integration of artificial intelligence through collaboration in the cultural community, artists, and technology actors.
UI Chancellor Heri Hermansyah added that UI managed to break the 189th global ranking, for the first time for universities in Indonesia.
At the end of his remarks, Menbud Fadli emphasized the strategic role of universities through tridharma: producing cultural-characterized graduates who are able to build global networks without losing their national identity.
