The Gerindra Faction Will Still Study The Resignation Of Rahayu Saraswati From Members Of The DPR

JAKARTA - The Gerindra faction of the DPR RI will still conduct a study regarding the submission of Rahayu Saraswati's resignation as a member of the DPR RI. The reason is, the resignation has only been submitted through a video uploaded to his personal social media account, which has not been officially submitted to the party.

"Today we want to explain regarding last night's circulating video uploaded by one of our members, Mr. Rahayu Saraswati, regarding the apology and chronology of what underlies him in submitting his resignation. In principle, the faction can respect and will also explore the processes ahead," said Secretary of the Gerindra faction. DPR RI, Bambang Hariyadi at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, September 11.

Bambang said that his party must also uphold the principles of democracy. Where Sara, Rahayu's nickname, was chosen through the DKI Jakarta III electoral districts which include the Thousand Islands, West Jakarta, and North Jakarta.

"There we got around 227 thousand votes and some of them are mandates given by the community from the 3 regions to our cadre named Saraswati Rahayu," said Bambang.

Bambang said that the Gerindra faction of the DPR RI would follow up on Sara's statement in accordance with the cadres and provisions of the law. Because Sara is a member of the DPR and is also a party cadre.

"So there are two things that we will do. First, coordinating with the DPP, because any process carried out by the cadres, the processing is to carry out the Central Leadership Council. Because the placement of cadres as legislative candidates is also the authority of political parties, and in the law. political parties and election laws that election participants are political parties, "explained Bambang.

"Therefore, we will conduct a study related to the statement of Rahayu Saraswati, whether it is in accordance with the provisions of the MD3 law, because the person concerned is a member of the DPR and also in accordance with the law of political parties," he added.

Second, Gerindra must also respect the mandate given by the community of the three regions, namely the Jakarta Election Jakarta III area covering West Jakarta, North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands.

"So if we want to explore further, we will report it to the Central Executive Board for the next administrative process," he concluded.
