JAKARTA Bripka Rohmad filed an appeal against the sanctions of demotion in the Brimob tactical vehicle case that hit an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) named Affan Kurniawan.

The KKEP Session Council on Thursday, September 4 imposed a seven-year mutation sanction in accordance with the remaining service period for Bripka Rohmad, who at that time served as Bamin Silop Battalion D Pioneer of the Satbrimob Polda Metro Jaya.
In addition, Rohmad was sentenced to administrative sanctions in the form of placing him in a special place (patsus) for 20 days, starting from August 29 to September 17, 2025, in the Patsus Room of the Provos Bureau of the Divpropam Polri.
He was also subject to ethical sanctions. His actions were declared a disgraceful act, and he was asked to apologize verbally before the KKEP trial and were written to the police leadership.
The KKEP Assembly Council stated that Rohmad as a random driver had acted unprofessionally in handling the demonstration on August 28, 2025 in Jakarta, causing fatalities.
