Unfinished, Ex-Rector Of UNUGO Sexual Violence Cases Becomes The Spotlight Of DPRD

GORONTALO - Commission I of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Gorontalo Province highlighted the handling of cases of Sexual Violence (TPKS) involving former Chancellor of Nahdlatul Ulama University Gorontalo (UNUGO) AH, which has not been completed until now.

Chairman of Commission I of the Gorontalo Provincial DPRD, Fadli Poha in Gorontalo, said earlier last week the victim's attorney expressed his aspirations about the slow handling of the case, thus asking his party to hold a hearing.

"Today we invite the victim's attorney, investigator of the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Gorontalo Police, the Gorontalo Province Women and Children Protection Service (PPA), in a hearing on this issue," said Fadli, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 10.

During the meeting, his party gave an opportunity to all parties to submit responses or information related to the handling of the case.

All parties involved in the discussion were given the opportunity to convey efforts, handling processes, obstacles, to what problems were faced or were the reasons until this case had not been resolved.

"The conclusion is, we ask the Polda investigators to immediately complete the handling of the case, so that the victim will also get legal certainty," he said.

Deputy Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation at the Gorontalo Police, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Ardi Rahanto, said that the case being handled is still in progress.

Regarding the handling that took a long time, according to him, it was part of the process that was being carried out.

So far, he said, investigators from the PPA Ditreskrimum of the Gorontalo Police have not encountered any significant obstacles in handling the case.

However, it can be ascertained that all stages by means of stages are still being carried out according to procedures.

"The point is that the handling of this case is still ongoing and we convey any developments in the investigation process to both parties, both the attorney for the reporter and the reported party," he added.
