Foreign Minister Sugiono Promises To Completely Investigate The Death Case Of The Indonesian Embassy's Five Staff

JAKARTA - Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono emphasized his commitment to thoroughly investigate the case of the death of the Indonesian Embassy in Lima staff, Zetro Leonardo Purba, in Peru. He conveyed this when welcoming the return of Zetro's body at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Monday 9 September night.

With teary eyes, Foreign Minister Sugiono was present to accompany the deceased's family in the procession of handing over the bodies. He expressed his deep sorrow and promise that the government would fully oversee the investigation process.

"We also convey our commitment to be able to complete this matter clearly and clearly," said Sugiono.

He added that coordination with the Peru Government will continue to be carried out to ensure that the cause of Zetro's death is revealed without any being covered up. "We will oversee this issue as clearly as possible, so that everything is clear," he said.

In addition to conveying investigative commitments, the Foreign Minister also prayed for the deceased to have the best place by God's side, as well as strengthen the family he left behind.

Meanwhile, the family represented by Tiopan Purba expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for facilitating the repatriation of the bodies. He also put full trust in the government to investigate this case.

"We really believe that the government, in this case the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will thoroughly investigate it and as clearly as possible. We really really trust the Minister," said Tiopan.

This case itself is still under investigation by Peru authorities. Zetro Leonardo Purba, a local staff member of the Indonesian Embassy Lima, was found dead with a number of irregularities at the end of last August.

The family through Tiopan Purba hopes that the Indonesian government will actively oversee so that the exact cause of Zetro's death can be revealed and will not cause speculation.
