Keerom Police Chief AKBP Astoto Budi Rahmantyo said the incident started with an argument between the two.

One shot hit the victim's head and died on the spot," said Astototo through the Head of the Waris Police Ipda Mirwan, Antara, Sunday, September 7.
After the incident, the police immediately went to the location to provide security. The police also coordinated with community leaders and victims' families to prevent security disturbances around the area.
Captain Inf J has now been secured by the Military Police of Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih along with the Sig Sauer P224 firearm used in the incident.
