Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Stealing Mrs. Bhayangkari In Jayawijaya, Her Colleagues Are Still Being Chased

WAMENA - Jayawijaya Resort Police (Polres), Papua Mountains, managed to uncover a case of violent theft (curas) that happened to a Bhayangkari mother on Jalan Hom-Hom, Wamena.

Jayawijaya Police Chief AKBP Anak Agung Made Satriya Bimantara said the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) team moved quickly after receiving information on the whereabouts of the perpetrators.

"At 15.15 WIT, members managed to secure the alleged perpetrator while shopping at a used clothing kiosk on Jalan Irian, Wamena," said Satriya in a written statement, Antara, Sunday, September 7.

The perpetrator who was arrested had the initials RK (25). From the results of the examination, RK acts as an introduction using a motorbike, while his colleague KY who plays the executor is still being chased.

During the arrest, the police also confiscated evidence in the form of a Honda Scoopy motorcycle used in the curas action.

The police chief gave his appreciation to the Satreskrim opsnal team who had worked hard to uncover the case.

"We are committed to eradicating all forms of crime and will not provide space for perpetrators in Jayawijaya jurisdiction," he said.

He emphasized that Satreskrim investigators are still developing cases to arrest the main perpetrators while ensuring the safety of the community is maintained.
