JAKARTA - Rio (22) helped return the mattress from looting which was carried away from Surya Utama's mother-in-law alias Uya Kuya's house. Rio admitted that he did not take the mattress from inside the house, but found it in front of Uya Kuya's alley.

"It was in front of the alley, not from inside the house, it was sent to the tree and it wasn't taken, I don't know who was in front of the alley," Rio told reporters, Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Rio, who lives in a rented house not far from the location, said at the time of the incident he was on guard so that the situation would not spread further when an unknown mob carried out looting.

"After sloping down, I asked the people there, 'Sir, it can be taken (the goods in front of the alley)', then the residents answered, 'you pay taxes, right? Just take it'," he said.

At first Rio was reluctant to bring the mattress, but he admitted that he was pushed after being urged by several people.

"At first I didn't want to bring it, but someone gave it a stove, 'just take it, sir,', finally I brought my friend to the rented house, got it together," he said.

Rio said he returned the mattress for fear of being caught in a legal problem, although he emphasized that he did not take it from inside the house.

"Yes, I'm just afraid that if I'm convicted, I've been reminded by my other friends to ask for it back, I'm afraid it's a problem everywhere, finally I will return it," he said.

Until finally, Rio returned the mattress on Wednesday night with a dipanggul with his friend.

The return of Uya Kuya's loot was previously carried out by a woman with the initials R who returned air conditioning or air conditioning after looting in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta.
