JAKARTA - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the majority of Indonesia's territory will be hit by light rain and lightning on Thursday, September 4.

BMKG forecastivita as quoted by ANTARA, explained that thick cloudy weather is predicted to occur in Banda Aceh, light rain in Tanjung Pinang, moderate rain in Medan and Padang, and rain accompanied by lightning in Pekanbaru.

Light rain also has the opportunity to occur in Jambi, Palembang, and Pangkalpinang, while Bengkulu is forecasted to experience moderate rain.

For the Java region, he said, cloudy conditions are predicted in Semarang and Yogyakarta, thick cloudy in Jakarta, Serang, and Bandung, as well as running air in Surabaya.

He said sunny cloudy weather is predicted to occur in Kupang, while Denpasar and Mataram are thick cloudy.

In Kalimantan, Banjarmasin is forecasted to be thick cloudy, Pontianak has light rain, Tanjung Selor has moderate rain, and Palangkaraya and Samarinda have the potential for rain accompanied by lightning.

For Sulawesi, thick cloudy weather is forecasted in Makassar and Kendari, light rain in Manado, Gorontalo, and Palu, as well as moderate rain in Mamuju.

The eastern region of Indonesia is predicted to experience light rain in Ternate, Ambon, Manokwari, and Jayawijaya, moderate rain in Sorong, Nabire, Jayapura, and Merauke.
