Ahmad Sahroni Has Not Submitted His Resignation As A Member Of The DPR

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Saan Mustopa, said that until now Ahmad Sahroni had not submitted his resignation as a member of the DPR.

Saan said Sahroni had so far only the status of Nasdem cadres who had been deactivated as members of the DPR by the party.

"It hasn't been (Ahmad Sahroni resigned) we'll check it later," said Saan, Wednesday, September 3.

Not only Sahroni, another Nasdem cadre, Nafa Urbach, has also been deactivated as a member of the DPR.

Saan, who also acts as Deputy General Chair of Nasdem, explained that so far the party's DPP has written to the factions that have been forwarded to the Secretariat General of the DPR to stop all rights of Sahroni and Nafa Urbach as members of the legislature, one of which is salary.

Now his party is just waiting for the process of stopping Sahroni and Nafa Urbach's salary as members of the DPR which is currently taking place at the Secretary General of the DPR and the Honorary Court of the Council (MKD).

Previously, a number of political parties decided to deactivate their members from Senayan due to the spotlight and demands from the public. The disabled people's representatives ranged from ordinary members, commission leaders, to DPR leaders.

The disabled members of the DPR are Ahmad Sahroni and Nafa Urbach from the NasDem Party faction, Eko Patrio and Uya Kuya from the PAN faction, and Deputy Speaker of the DPR Adies Kadir from the Golkar Party faction.

The residences of a number of representatives of the people were looted and damaged by community groups, including the houses of Ahmad Sahroni, Eko Patrio, to Uya Kuya. Apart from the houses of legislators, the house of Finance Minister Sri Mulyani was also looted.
