Foreign Minister Sugiono Says His Party Will Care For Education For Diplomat Children Of The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Who Died Shot

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his deep condolences for the death of Indonesian diplomat Zetro Leonardo Purba when communicating with his wife, saying that his party would take care of the education of the children of the deceased.

This was conveyed by Foreign Minister Sugiono in a video upload on the Instagram account of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. In the upload, Foreign Minister Sugiono looks grieving.

"We have had telephone talks with Mrs. Priscillia, the wife of the deceased," said the Indonesian Foreign Minister in the upload, as quoted on Tuesday, September 2.

"The deceased left a wife and three children. We pray to be placed in the best place in the side of Almighty God," he continued.

Foreign Minister Sugiono also conveyed to the wife of the deceased to be patient and stay strong in the face of the disaster that occurred, so that she could remain focused on being able to take care of her baby in the midst of a very tough trial.

"This is a disaster that we all experience, a disaster that no one wants," said Foreign Minister Sugiono.

Foreign Minister Sugiono said that his party hopes to give their best to investigate the shooting case thoroughly.

"To his family, we are also committed to managing and completing education for the children of the deceased," said Foreign Minister Sugiono.

As previously reported, Foreign Minister Sugiono in a video upload on Instagram said that he had received news of the grief of the death of Zetro Leonardo Purba who served as the Deputy Kanselerai Penata of the Indonesian Embassy in Lima who was shot by an unknown person.

"I as the leader of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs feel such deep sorrow," said the Indonesian Foreign Minister in his upload.

"We have conveyed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru and the police there to be able to investigate this case thoroughly," he explained.

Foreign Minister Sugiono said he had asked the Indonesian Ambassador to Peru Ricky Suhendar to oversee the investigation process of this case, as well as carry out the process of repatriating the deceased's body to Indonesia.
