Deputy Governor Urges The People Of Aceh Not To Join The Anarchic Demonstration

BANDA ACEH - Deputy Governor of Aceh, Fadhlullah, appealed to the people of Aceh to remain calm and not to join an anarchist demonstration like what has happened in Jakarta and other provinces in recent days.

"I appeal to all Acehnese to please calm down everyone. We don't need to get involved like other provinces that are currently happening," said Fadhlullah, in Banda Aceh, Saturday.

As is known, demonstrations in Jakarta have occurred since August 25, 2025, with demands for disbandment of the DPR and others, the demonstration has finally spread to various provinces, leading to damage to public facilities and has claimed lives.

Therefore, Fadhlullah appealed to the people of Aceh not to hold demonstrations because Aceh is different from other provinces. Aceh has specialities and privileges.

He gave an example, previously Aceh held many demonstrations during the problems of the four islands, and at that time other regions did not participate in demonstrations such as the people of Aceh.

"Yesterday, when it happened, our four islands demoted, they (other provinces) did not demo. So, we are different," he said.

On the other hand, Fadhlullah emphasized that he did not prohibit the public from expressing their aspirations, but was conveyed in safe and peaceful ways and in accordance with applicable regulations. Moreover, Aceh is a province that implements Islamic law.

"Even if you want to protest, it must be in a safe and peaceful manner, there is no need to be anarchic or rude," he said.

"I hope that all Acehnese people, in accordance with the direction of the Governor, the people of Aceh, please calm down everyone, God willing, we can get through this all," said Fadhlullah.
