The police are still blocking the demonstrators who are currently staying at Jalan Panglima Sudirmana after the riot during a solidarity action in front of the Grahadi State building, Surabaya, East Java.

According to ANTARA's observation at the location, dozens of police officers were complete using shields, sticks, and a tactical vehicle that blocked and water cannon fired the demonstrators.

Seen, dozens of demonstrators were still screaming to provoke the police who were tasked with driving them away.

"What, come here, come here, come forward," said a demonstrator who stood near the Bambu Runcing monument, Friday, August 29.

As a result, Jalan Panglima Sudirman is completely closed for road users who cross the direction of Jalan Governor Suryo and Jalan Pemuda.

Until 20.45 WIB, efforts to prevent the demonstrators were still being carried out until they approached the Karapan Sapi monument heading towards Basuki Rahmat and Jalan Urip Sumoharjo.

The demonstration was held to express disappointment and as a form of protest over the casualties in a demonstration in Jakarta.
