They broke into the fence at around 20.00 WIB, next to the access gate to the Secretariat General of the DPD. The fence seemed broken until some of it disappeared.

After the fence broke, a number of people from the mass action entered the parliament complex while carrying a number of items, including bamboo, stones, and bottles of mineral water. But shortly after, Brimob and TNI officers blocked the crowd and pushed it back.

After the masses returned outside the parliamentary area, the TNI apparatus formed a physical barricade to replace the broken fence. The crowd then carried out arson, and threw things, including lighting firecrackers.

"Friends, please be patient, there are your brothers from the TNI. Please cooperate," said a police officer through a loudspeaker reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 29.

The police also appealed to the masses not to carry out anarchic actions because they had been given a long time to express their aspirations. The police also stated that they did not want to clash with the masses of action.

"We don't want to clash, please come out," he said.

The crowd then tried several times to return to the parliament complex. On the other hand, Brimob officers also continued to make barricades with shields to dispel the masses.
