Commission III Of The DPR Will Call The National Police Chief, Ask For Explanation Of The Ojol Driver Who Was Run Over By Rantis Brimob

Member of Commission III of the DPR RI Hinca Panjaitan said Commission III of the DPR would summon the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to ask for an explanation regarding the security of the demonstration in front of the DPR Building.

Commission III of the DPR will dig up information from the National Police regarding the expired tear gas information used to secure demonstrations so that online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) who died were run over by the Brimob tactical vehicle (rantis).

"We both heard the information, of course we gave the police the opportunity to explain in detail so that the public could get sufficient information. We will also try to ask the leadership of the National Police whether what actually happened," said Hinca at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 29.

Regarding the pressure to reform the leadership of the National Police, Hinca has not been able to comment. He considered that his party must first hear the police statement.

"We haven't held another meeting yet, just another meeting later on Monday, hopefully, the meeting agenda will be pleasing to the supervisory function, we will immediately carry it out," he said.

Including the invitation to the ojol driver's family so that there is justice for the victim, Hinca has not been able to comment further.

"We haven't been able to respond to that yet, later on Monday we will meet with the leadership of Commission III, we will discuss this. And in the future there will be work meetings, including with the police," said Hinca.

"(So the meeting first, ed) next week, yes, between Monday, try to see it, because it already has an agenda, we'll see who comes from the Police," he concluded.
