Avoid Riots In Protests, Jakarta ASN Asked For WFH Today

JAKARTA - A number of government agencies have implemented a policy of working from home (WFH) in connection with the protests that continue today. WFH is carried out to avoid potential unrest that has occurred again.

The WFH scheme was also implemented by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, to state civil servants (ASN) within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

"If then there is a proposal to do work from home in conditions this Friday, we agree to give approval," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, August 29.

This WFH policy is contained in the Circular of the Head of the Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) Number e-0021/SE/2025. ASN employees who carry out official duties from home, report the presence/presence online twice, namely morning and evening.

Meanwhile, since this morning, several DKI Jakarta ASNs have been in their offices. In the afternoon, they decided to return home according to the circular letter from the Head of the DKI Jakarta BKD, Chaidir.

"ASN employees who have been present at the office, can continue carrying out their duties from home by holding a precession on the afternoon schedule," explained Chaidir in his statement.

However, the implementation of WFH is excluded for ASN regional apparatus that provides direct services to the community and cannot be implemented through digital media/applications.

Then, ASNs whose types and nature of work provide services to the community continuously 24 hours are also asked to work from their respective offices.
