JAKARTA - Dozens of people were hospitalized (RS) due to clashes during the August 28 demonstration in front of the DPR Building which was chaotic at a number of points in Jakarta.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung ensured that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government would pay all the costs of treating the victims until they recovered. Pramono feels that the DKI Provincial Government is responsible for the safety of its citizens.

This was conveyed by Pramono when he visited the funeral home of an online motorcycle taxi driver who was killed in a tactical vehicle belonging to Brimob, Affan Kurniawan.

"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government fully bears the costs of care for all patients without exception. We want to make sure they get the best health services without worrying about costs," said Pramono in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Friday, August 29.

Based on data from the DKI Jakarta Health Office, there were 38 injured patients who were treated in a number of hospitals, including RSCM 1 person, Pelni Hospital 12 people, RS PP 8 Bhakti Mulia Hospital 5 people, Budi Kemulia Hospital 2 people, Patria IKKT Hospital 1 person, Mintohardjo Hospital 5 people, Eka Permata Hijau Hospital 1 person, Tarakan Hospital 1 person, and Duren Sawit Hospital 2 people.

Meanwhile, while visiting the funeral home, Pramono also offered his condolences to Affan's father and family who cried in front of his body. Pramono tried to strengthen his family, but he also couldn't hold back his tears.

"My deepest condolences for the passing of our brother, Affan Kurniawan Bin Zulkifli. May Allah SWT widen his grave and put him in the best heaven. God willing, we are here to provide protection and support to the bereaved family," said Pramono.

Pramono ensured that the DKI Provincial Government would provide full assistance to the relocation process to the funeral of the 20-year-old youth. This assistance, he continued, was provided to reduce the burden on the families left by Affan.

"We are committed to fully helping so that the family is not burdened. We will facilitate the restoration and burial as well as possible," he said.
