Relatives Of Immanuel Ebenezer Allegedly Hide Land Cruiser To Mercedes Benz After OTT

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that Immanuel Ebenezer's relative is the party that is hiding the three cars that are now being sought by investigators.

Acting (Plt) Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu said the three Land Cruiser, Mercedes Benz, and BAIC cars were moved from the official residence after Immanuel Ebenezer was caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) related to the management of work safety and health certification (K3) on Wednesday, August 20 evening.

Relatives of the former Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) are suspected of panicking.

"It is possible that his relatives or maybe his people moved the car from the place or from his house where we were that night (when OTT, ed) came there," Asep told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday night, August 28.

Asep said these three cars were caught late by the KPK because of the confession of one of the suspects, namely Irvian Bobby Mahendro as Coordinator for Institutional Affairs and Personnel K3 in 2022-2025.

He said, Irvian admitted that he only gave Rp3 billion and one Ducati motorbike to Immanuel Ebenezer. Therefore, the team focused on tracing the whereabouts of the money and the vehicle as evidence of alleged extortion.

"That's right, we're looking for (the three cars, red). Like that. Yes, it's normal when, for example, maybe they are scared and others continue to be moved," he said.

Even so, Asep asked those who hid the car to cooperate. They were asked to be honest in handing over the vehicle that investigators were looking for.

"We, also from investigators, appeal to anyone, yes, whether it's a relative of the IEG brother, or maybe his employee or anyone close to him who feels that moving the vehicle should be sent or handed over to us immediately, delivered to the KPK," he said.

"Therefore, to facilitate the disclosure of this case openly," continued Asep, who also serves as Director of KPK Investigation.

Previously reported, the KPK named 11 suspects in connection with the alleged extortion of handling work safety and health certificates (K3). This determination began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) that arrested 14 people, including the Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Immanuel Ebenezer.

The following is a list of suspects named by the KPK:

1. Irvian Bobby Mahendro as Coordinator for Institutional and Personnel Affairs K3 of 2022-2025; 2. Gerry Aditya Herwanto Putra as Coordinator for Testing and Evaluation of Work Safety Competency until now; 3. Subhan as Sub-Coordinator of Work Safety Dit. K3 Development in 2020-2025;4. Anitasari Kusumawati as Coordinator of Partnerships and Work Health Personnel in 2020 until now; 5. Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan as Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024-2029;6. Fahrurozi as Director General of Binwasnaker and K3 in March 2025 until now; 7. Hery Sutanto as Director of Institutional Development in 2021-February 2025; 8. Sekarsari Kartika Putri as sub-coordinator; 9. Supriadi as coordinator; 10. Temurila as PT KEM Indonesia; and 11. Miki Mahfud as PT KEM Indonesia's party.

The determination of the suspect began with an intensive examination and found two pieces of evidence after the silent operation was carried out. It is suspected that this extortion has been going on for a long time

This allegation arose because of the large amount of evidence found, namely 15 cars and 7 motorbikes and Rp170 million and US$2,201 in cash.

Meanwhile, Immanuel Ebenezer has been removed from his position as Wamenaker by President Prabowo Subianto. This decision was taken after his legal status was announced by the KPK and submitted to the public by the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi.
