KPK Duga Immanuel Ebenezer Admissions Apart From Extortion Results Of K3 Certification

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that Immanuel Ebenezer made other receipts in addition to the extortion proceeds from the management of work safety and health certification (K3) while serving as Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker).

Acting (Plt) Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu said this allegation would be investigated after investigators found other assets belonging to Immanuel, such as the confiscated Toyota Alphard and three cars that were now hidden after the arrest operation (OTT). The vehicles are Land Cruiser, Mercedes Benz, and BAIC.

"Well, what we are investigating are other receipts," Asep told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday night, August 28.

This allegation of other receipts, continued Asep, made the KPK embed Article 12B of the Anti-Corruption Law in addition to extortion.

"So we suspect that there are other receipts like that so that Article 12 B is also applied like gratification," he said.

The KPK is known to have confiscated a black Toyota Alphard while searching Immanuel Ebenezer's house in Pancoran on Tuesday, August 26. In addition, investigators also found four cellphones on the ceiling of the former Wamenaker's residence.

Then, the anti-corruption commission announced that three cars were hidden from the official residence of Immanuel Ebenezer. Investigators know and already have information about the incident.

Previously reported, the KPK named 11 suspects in connection with the alleged extortion of handling work safety and health certificates (K3). This determination began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) that arrested 14 people, including the Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Immanuel Ebenezer.

The following is a list of suspects named by the KPK:

1. Irvian Bobby Mahendro as Coordinator for Institutional and Personnel Affairs K3 of 2022-2025; 2. Gerry Aditya Herwanto Putra as Coordinator for Testing and Evaluation of Work Safety Competency until now; 3. Subhan as Sub-Coordinator of Work Safety Dit. K3 Development in 2020-2025;4. Anitasari Kusumawati as Coordinator of Partnerships and Work Health Personnel in 2020 until now; 5. Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan as Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024-2029;6. Fahrurozi as Director General of Binwasnaker and K3 in March 2025 until now; 7. Hery Sutanto as Director of Institutional Development in 2021-February 2025; 8. Sekarsari Kartika Putri as sub-coordinator; 9. Supriadi as coordinator; 10. Temurila as PT KEM Indonesia; and 11. Miki Mahfud as PT KEM Indonesia's party.

The determination of the suspect began with an intensive examination and found two pieces of evidence after the silent operation was carried out. It is suspected that this extortion has been going on for a long time.

This allegation arose because of the large amount of evidence found, namely 15 cars and 7 motorbikes and Rp170 million and US$2,201 in cash.

Meanwhile, Immanuel Ebenezer has been removed from his position as Wamenaker by President Prabowo Subianto. This decision was taken after his legal status was announced by the KPK and submitted to the public by the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi.
