JAKARTA Indonesian Political Houses released the results of a recent survey on the performance of law enforcement agencies in Indonesia. As a result, the National Police occupies the top position as an institution with the best performance as well as one of the most trusted by the public.
The Executive Director of the Indonesian Political House, Fernando Emas, said that this achievement was good news for the Police. According to him, the positive image that has begun to be formed must be maintained with consistency in performance and real breakthroughs.
"Regarding the police, I think this is part of the concept of the Precision Police which must continue. That way, the police can really get a place in the hearts of the people," said Fernando, Wednesday, August 27.
In the survey, the National Police achieved the highest assessment with a percentage of 20.11 percent. The next position is occupied by the KPK with 20.9 percent, followed by the Attorney General's Office with 20.5 percent. Two other institutions are ranked below, namely the Court with 18.51 percent and the Constitutional Court (MK) 17.21 percent.
The survey was conducted in 34 provinces on August 22, 2025, involving 1,525 respondents from various backgrounds.
In addition to general performance, the National Police is also considered superior in law enforcement against cyber crimes and new crimes with 22.32 percent, narrowly superior to the Attorney General's Office (22.29 percent) and the KPK (22.29 percent). While the Constitutional Court won 19.75 percent and the Court only 12.57 percent.
For the aspect of judicial reform, the Attorney General's Office occupies the top position with 20.9 percent, followed by the National Police with 20.6 percent, the KPK with 20.4 percent, the Constitutional Court with 16.21 percent, and the Court 9.52 percent.
In terms of eradicating corruption, the KPK is still considered by the public as the best with 21.23 percent. However, the National Police stuck with 21.20 percent, then the Attorney General's Office 21.17 percent, the Constitutional Court 19.21 percent, and the Court 17.03 percent.
Fernando assessed that the thin inter-institutional difference shows the tight competition of the three main institutions "Polri, the Attorney General's Office, and the KPK" in gaining public trust. "The three of them are indeed trying to improve themselves. The KPK with OTT, the Prosecutor's Office with various big arrests, and the Police with the concept of Precision. All received public attention," he said.

Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court and Court, continued Fernando, are still lagging behind in this survey. "These two institutions need to improve, evaluate what makes their image worse so that they can gain public trust," he said.
Law expert Desmen Rahmat added that this survey is important to provide direct input from the public to the leaders of law enforcement agencies. "Insight given by the public through this survey is expected to be an evaluation material to improve future performance," he said.
