JAKARTA - An Australian school bus accident killed a student and injured 11 others on Wednesday 27 August.
The state emergency service Victoria was quoted as saying via Reuters reported that the bus carrying 28 students from Christian College Geelong failed to turn left on a rural road near the city of Geelong and overturned.
A senior officer at the Victorian Police, Paul Lineham, said a student seriously injured was flown by air ambulance to the hospital.
Victoria's ambulance service said 10 other victims including the driver were taken to the hospital by road.
The 76-year-old driver has now been discharged from hospital and is currently assisting the police in investigating the accident.
