Police: Arya Daru Case Can Be Reopened If There Are New Instructions

JAKARTA - The family of the Diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu), Arya Daru Pangayunan (ADP) asked the police to reopen the process of investigating the cause of Arya's death. Responding to the request, the National Police stated that this could be done if new clues were found.

"Of course, anything that becomes a guide. This is certainly a basis for whether this is indeed a new finding, whether new developments, or in principle, can be part of the completeness of the investigation process in the first stage," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, quoted on Tuesday, August 26.

In handling the case of Arya Daru Pangayunan's death, the National Police, in this case Polda Metro Jaya, prioritized scientific investigations. Thus, all inputs will be investigated to perfect the investigation process.

In addition, it was emphasized that the hope of Arya Daru Pangayunan's family would be the attention of the police in resolving the case.

"What we are doing is based on scientificism, then also based on information that will also be provided later this family sma is part of improvement," said Trunoyudo.

As is known, a young diplomat from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Arya Daru Pangayunan (ADP) was found dead in his boarding house in Menteng area, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, July.

This case then left a question mark after the police concluded that no other person was involved in Arya's death. So Arya is considered to have committed suicide.

The family openly expressed disagreements over the alleged death toll from suicide. Meta Bagus, Arya's brother-in-law, stated that the family did not agree with the conclusions of law enforcement officials.

According to Meta, Arya is known as a cheerful, responsible figure, and has shown no signs of severe pressure during his life. For this reason, the Arya Family asked the police not to stop the case and urged the police to continue the investigation.
